What is shiatsu?
Shiatsu is a Japanese bodywork therapy rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine. Performed through the clothing, it incorporates specific acupressure points into a deeply theraputic massage to balance the nervous system and stimulate the body's natural healing response.
In my treatments, I integrate traditional Shiatsu techniques with Western massage approaches to relieve pain, reduce stress, and support a range of health conditions. Each session is thoughtfully tailored to your individual needs, combining methods such as acupressure, trigger point therapy, myofascial release, joint mobilisation, deep tissue work, stretching, and gentle manipulation.

How it helps
Shiatsu is a deeply relaxing, non-invasive treatment suitable for anyone seeking support with a particular health issue or to enhance their overall well-being.
Offering many of the same benefits as acupuncture without the use of needles, Shiatsu is an excellent option for those with a fear of needles, children, or anyone experiencing anxiety-related conditions.
In my Lewes clinic, I treat a variety of complaints, with a particular focus on pain relief and women’s health.
